Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Globe, London, Emma Rice is one of the world’s most visionary theatre directors.
The former joint artistic director of Kneehigh Theatre for over 10 years, her many credits for Kneehigh include the legendary productions of The Red Shoes, The Wild Bride, Brief Encounter and Tristan & Yseult which is playing at the Town Hall Theatre as part of this year’s Festival.
Emma Rice is joined for this event by long–time Kneehigh admirer Noeline Kavanagh, Artistic Director, Macnas and Prof. Patrick Lonergan, NUI Galway to discuss her life and work, the making of Tristan & Yseult, and the impact and power of theatre.
