Galway City Museum is a spacious modern building, situated in the heart of Galway City on the banks of the River Corrib, overlooking the famous Spanish Arch.

Summer opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm and Sunday, 12pm to 5pm. Closed Monday. The museum space is also available for holding historical or cultural events.

Guided tours are available by pre-booking.

Free admission.

Parking is available in nearby city car parks.

Accessibility: step free entrance, automated access door, lift to first and second floor galleries. Manual wheelchairs are available to pre-book free of charge by emailing museum@galwaycity.ie or by calling 091 532460.
Disabled Parking Spots: 2 disabled parking spots are located on the long walk side of the Museum

Seating: there is seating throughout the building in the galleries and on both of the landing areas on first and second floor. Extra chairs can be provided on request
