Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

Enjoy some of the best R&B tunes of the past 20 years when Macy Gray takes to the Heineken Big Top Stage Sunday 21 July.

She’s the hitmaker behind one of the most iconic songs of the nineties, ‘I Try’. In addition to that irresistible ballad, Galway audiences can expect to hear songs like ‘Beauty in the World’, ‘Still’, ‘When I See You’, and 2018 release ‘Sugar Daddy’.

GRAMMY Award and two-time BRIT Award-winner Macy Gray has sold over 25 million albums globally and toured to every part of the world. Her performance at GIAF19 will be among her first Irish performances since the release of Ruby, her tenth studio-length album in the autumn of 2018.

Special guests Hypnotic Brass Ensemble will provide support. The seven-piece jazz ensemble from Chicago have toured throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America, performing everywhere from Coachella to The Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall.
