Choice Music Prize-winning band Villagers and critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter John Grant will play an unmissable double bill at this year’s Heineken Big Top.
The two Festival favourites will return to the GIAF stage Thursday 18 July for a night of unforgettable performances.
Adored by critics and fans alike since their 2010 debut, Villagers will play in Galway following a string of arena shows with Mumford & Sons.
In addition to new songs off their 2018 release, The Art of Pretending to Swim, Villagers’ extensive catalogue of songs include ‘Nothing Arrived’, ‘Becoming A Jackal’ and ‘A Trick of the Light’.
John Grant is known for live performances with greats as varied as Sinead O’Connor, Kylie Minogue, and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Like Villagers, he released a widely lauded album in autumn of 2018, the ‘heart-stopping’ Love is Magic.
From John Grant, Heineken Big Top audiences can look forward to songs like ‘GMF’, ‘Pale Green Ghosts’, and ‘Disappointing’.
