Breaking records in attendances, box office, volunteers and more, this year's two-week Festival delivered the magic for which it is known every summer. Hundreds of GIAF events - from performances, talks, concerts, street events and exhibitions, including at the popular new Festival Garden on Eyre Square - took place across Galway City, providing entertainment, enlightenment and inspiration for all.
While GIAF18 has come to an end, the work continues, with plans already well underway for the 2019 Festival which runs from July 15-28. GIAF will also present a First Thought Talks event in December 2019. Full details to be announced.
