GIAF Hits the Wild Atlantic Way for Two Pints by Roddy Doyle

28 July 2017

Roddy Doyle’s Two Pints comes with GIAF to the Aran Islands along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Watch as GIAF 17 takes a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way to the beautiful Inis Mór on the Aran Islands. We’re here with the Abbey Theatre to bring Roddy Doyle’s hilarious and provocative new show Two Pints to local pub Tigh Joe Macs and hear what audiences are saying.

Directed by Caitriona McLaughlin and starring Liam Carney and Lorcan Cranitch, Two Pints started as a conversation on Facebook. Managing to capture both the humour and tragedy of modern life, Doyle taps into his Irish roots to bring forth a piece of the everyday conversations that allow us to deal with our world. Now Two Pints is a play, and it is coming to a number of pubs along the Wild Atlantic Way.

If you’re Irish, you know the story: Two men meet for a pint. They talk about their Da’s, death, Nigella, North Korea, the afterlife… Nothing is off-limits. Irish or not, you are welcome to pull up a stool and listen in as they chew the fat and set the world to rights.
