
Galway International Arts Festival is seeking a Digital Marketing Executive to work with the Festival team delivering digital marketing activity as GIAF builds towards its 50th anniversary in 2027. This role is ideal for someone with experience in digital marketing or a related field and a strong interest in culture.
Galway International Arts Festival is a multidisciplinary event with an annual programme which includes music, theatre, opera, visual arts, spectacle and talks. The Festival attracts an attendance of over 400,000 to Galway every July. It is a major European arts Festival, a key event in the Irish summer calendar and one of the biggest highlights in the Irish cultural calendar.
R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S INCLUDE
• Implementing the digital marketing strategy for the Festival with a key focus on digital deliverables across local, national and international target markets.
• Managing Festival Social media channels including Meta, Tik Tok, YouTube, Pinterest, X.
• Generating content creation for digital channels including stills and short form video.
• Generating copy in keeping with Festival branding for website, social media and email.
• Working with Festival agencies in the countdown to and throughout the festival season to include advertising partners, video, website partners and supporters.
• Liaising with the Management Team in managing website content requirements.
• Generating regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and metrics for digital campaigns and staying up to date with social media trends.
• Managing videography and photography briefs ensuring delivery of assets to the wider senior team. Act as point of contact for multiple content creation freelancers.
• Working with the various Festival departments including Volunteers, Sustainability and EDI to generate content and highlight activities across all channels.
• Reporting to Head of Communications and the Senior Management team on a regular basis.
• Managing marketing assistants during the Festival period to ensure timely delivery of content and management of digital channels.
