Luck Just Kissed You Hello theatre co-production
‘Luck Just Kissed You Hello’ is a co-production between Galway International Arts Festival and HotForTheatre. It is directed by Caitriona McLaughlin and stars Amy Conroy, Mark Fitzgerald and Will O'Connell.
It premiered at GIAF15, and offered an intriguing premise: how do you say goodbye to your nemesis, your genesis? Laura (Conroy) returns home for the death of her father, but Laura is now Mark. He, along with Gary and Sullivan, must decide on how he is remembered, and they all must find a way to forgive and recognise themselves again.
The production received rave reviews from both Festival audiences and critics, with The Guardian hailing it “a blistering exploration of masculinity”, and the Irish Independent praising the play as a “rare achievement... provocative, funny and intensely moving.”
The ‘Luck Just Kissed You Hello’ national tour begins on 1 November in Galway’s Town Hall Theatre. Find more information on tickets and booking at HotForTheatre.
