Galway International Arts Festival invites businesses and individuals to be part of something special this July by becoming a Friend of the Festival!
Ahead of the announcement of this year’s programme in May, Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) shines a spotlight on the vital role the Friends of the Festival play in helping to bring this world renowned Festival to audiences each year.
The support that Friends of the Festival gives help make GIAF happen every year. Their supports play a key role in ensuring that the team can offer 30% of GIAF’s programme free to the public.
We encourage all business and individuals to consider being part of this wonderful group, and support something special this July by becoming a Friend of the Festival.
We have also released the first of a number of videos featuring Friends of the Festival which will be shared over the next while on Instagram and Facebook!
This year’s festival, running from July 13–26, 2026, promises to be even more spectacular, with an electrifying programme of world-class music, ground-breaking theatre, captivating visual arts, thought-provoking talks, and thrilling street performances.
Friends also enjoy fantastic benefits, including priority booking, complimentary tickets, exclusive festival merchandise, and recognition online and in print.
Contributions start at just €180, and friendship also makes a perfect gift for arts lovers.
“As we celebrate our 49th festival, we are thrilled to bring another unforgettable Festival to Galway. The support of our Friends makes this possible, and we are very grateful for their generosity. I look forward to welcoming both new and returning Friends as we prepare for another incredible Festival,” - Friends Manager, Aisling O’Sullivan
