Central to this is the belief that art can serve as both an agent to promote awareness and a medium for change. The programme aims to inspire dialogue, provoke critical thinking, and encourage action, positioning art as a vital space for confronting contemporary challenges and imagining more equitable, sustainable futures. Artists and collaborators respond critically and creatively to the climate crisis, environmental degradation, and human relationships with nature and each other.
By interweaving visual art, politics, education and activism, this year’s programme confronts dominant societal narratives. It reflects on the role of art in shaping public consciousness, aiming to provoke dialogue, question systems of power, and inspire meaningful behavioural shifts toward a more just, equitable, and environmentally conscious society.
