Block Rockin’ Beats returns to the Heineken® Big Top on Friday 18 July 2025 following on from one of the most memorable concerts of this year’s Festival. Dec Pierce’s Block Rockin Beats is a performance of the world’s biggest dance anthems, where rave meets rock, featuring a DJ set with a full live band. In what promises to be an unmissable performance during next year’s Galway International Arts Festival, Dec Pierce’s Block Rockin Beats has become a live phenomenon with a show where both music styles unite for one unmissable performance.
Expect songs such as No Good (Start the dance) alongside Smells Like Teen Spirit and Beastie Boys’ Sabotage. Block Rockin Beats in a raw, energetic, live performance version of Dec Pierce’s radio show of the same name on Today FM.
“The show is all about energy—it’s a concert, but we want you to lose yourself for a few hours. We want you to go back in time to experience these classic anthems with a full live band. It’s a unique music and visual experience. Honestly, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had on stage. The crowds we get at our shows come out for a party! When our energy matches the energy in the crowd… it’s a really special thing!” - Dec Pierce
2025 marks 30 years since Dec Pierce first began his journey as a DJ in 1995. To celebrate this milestone, Block Rockin Beats will embark on the 95-25 Tour, with Irish shows during the summer of 2025. These gigs will feature dance tracks close to Dec’s heart that were massive across those three decades. re dance tracks close to Dec’s heart that were massive across those three decades.
