Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival present Bedbound by Enda Walsh starring Colm Meaney and Brenda Meaney directed by Marc Atkinson Borrull.
Available to watch worldwide on demand for 2 weeks only from 25 November to 8 December 2023.
Following sell-out runs at Galway International Arts Festival and Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival are delighted to announce that Enda Walsh’s Bedbound, starring Colm Meaney and Brenda Meaney, will be available to stream worldwide on demand, for a strictly limited 2-week season from 25 November.
This on-demand performance was recently filmed in front of a live audience during its critically acclaimed run at this year’s Galway International Arts Festival.
Producers Anne Clarke, Landmark Productions and Paul Fahy, Galway International Arts Festival said: ‘Audiences in Galway and Dublin were blown away by Colm and Brenda Meaney's performances in the show this summer, and we're thrilled that more people all over the world will now get to experience this intimate, close-up look at Enda’s explosive two-hander - from the comfort of their very own homes.’
Colm Meaney said he ‘was immediately swept away by the power and brilliance of the language and fascinated by these two extraordinary characters. To get to work on this wonderful play with Enda and Marc and the great team at Landmark and Galway International Arts Festival is truly exciting and a real privilege.’
Brenda Meaney describes the production as ‘an absolute dream, a thrilling, complex, terrifying dream. The added bonus of working with my dad - our first play together - is above and beyond what any actor could ask for: challenging, exciting, wonderful. It feels like a homecoming and a new chapter all at once.'
Bedbound is the latest in a series of significant productions of Enda Walsh’s plays from Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival, which have toured widely internationally - including Misterman, starring Cillian Murphy, and the world premieres of Medicine, Arlington and Ballyturk.

About the play
Colm Meaney and Brenda Meaney star in this major revival of Enda Walsh’s savagely funny play.
I give in ta the words. I let go. Go.
Father and Daughter are bound, inextricably, to each other. And the walls are closing in.
He talks frantically about his extraordinary past in furniture sales; she talks no less compulsively about anything at all, to fill the terrible silence in her head.
What would happen if the torrent of words … just stopped?
Colm Meaney - whose recent stage performances include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in the West End and The Iceman Cometh on Broadway - returned to the Irish stage for the first time in over 40 years at the 2023 Galway International Arts Festival, to play the once-flamboyant furniture salesman. His real-life daughter Brenda Meaney played his daughter, confined to a small bed.
The stellar creative team included Jamie Vartan (set and costume design); Sinéad McKenna (lighting) and Sinéad Diskin (sound designer and composer).
