Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) is inviting businesses and individuals to ‘be part of something special’ this July by becoming a Friend of the Festival.
Galway International Arts Festival is a major cultural event in Galway’s summer calendar. In 2023, GIAF presented 127 multidisciplinary events over 14 days, attracting a crowd of over 400,000, solidifying Galway’s reputation as a vibrant cultural hub, making it a great place to visit, work and live.
This year, GIAF plans to build on that success with an ambitious line-up of world-class music, theatre, visual arts, street performances and talks.
The Friends’ scheme supports GIAF in delivering this festival for Galway and its policy of making the arts accessible to all, which includes offering 30% of the programme free of charge each year.
The Friends’ scheme is open to individuals and businesses, with prices starting from as little as €150. Friends enjoy a host of benefits, depending on the spend, including priority booking, complimentary tickets, festival merchandise and listing in the GIAF programme and on the GIAF website.
You can give the gift of Friendship to an arts-loving family member, friend or colleague or simply buy a friendship for yourself.
Announcing details of its 2024 Friends Campaign, ahead of the 47th annual Festival, which takes place from 15-28 July this year, GIAF Fundraising Manager, Aisling O’Sullivan said:
“This year we are very proud to celebrate our 47th birthday and are looking forward to what will be one of our best festivals ever. We rely on our Friends’ support to make that possible and I look forward to renewing old friendships and building new connections as the festival approaches. We are so grateful for our Friends' continued generosity and support, which has helped us deliver a major feature in the Irish summer calendar.”
