Nun’s Island

Nun’s Island Theatre

Once an old Presbyterian Church, Nun’s Island has been transformed into a modern, yet charming 90-seater theatre. Home to the Galway Youth Theatre, in addition to many young professional theatre companies and practitioners in the city, it also hosts concerts, seminars, films and symposia.

Accessibility: step-free entrance, social narrative guide available at https://www.galwayartscentre.ie/your-visit/access-facilities/
Disabled Parking Spots: Nun’s Island (1 across the road from the theatre), Mill Street car park (3)
Toilets: Nun’s Island Theatre's accessible bathroom floor size measures 1420mm x 1980mm at its entrance, which is now below industry standards. Universal access is a priority, and this will be rectified in 2025 when redevelopment works are due to take place.
Seating: accessible (please contact the Box Office for any accessibility requirements)

Some on-street parking is available, in addition to two nearby car parks.
