Shifting Ground from heneghan peng archtitects was Irieland's offical entry at the Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition in 2012, the most important architechtural exhibition in the world.
An interactive installation that invites viewers to physically engage with the exhibit and, in doing so, collaborate with each other. In a site-specific repsonse, heneghan peng architects dsigned an oscillating 'bench' that invites visitors to balance their respective weights. The work considers issues of geometry and number in the architects' work.
