Patrick O’Reilly is one of Ireland’s most prolific artists perhaps better known and celebrated internationally where he exhibits regularly.
A hugely imaginative sculptor O’Reilly had his first professional show at Galway Arts Festival in 1996. He is best known in Ireland for his large-scale outdoor ‘bear sculptures’ most notably by the O2 in Dublin and at Greenstones Promenade in Co. Wicklow. This exhibition features recent sculpture and installation including an enormous new work Thorn, created specifically for this show.
