Renowned actor and director, and Artistic Director of Druid, Maelíosa Stafford brought a surge of creative energy, vision and generosity to all his work, from his outstanding performances in early Druid productions to his inspired productions of he Midnight Court and At the Black Pig’s Dyke.
Maelíosa died suddenly in his home city of Sydney in April 2023. Friends and family will gather to pay tribute to him in an evening of music, song, readings and raise a parting glass for one of the great spirits of Galway.
