Molora is set on one of the many South African halls where people gathered to testify at the Truth and Reconcialtion Commission. In a dramatic confrontation Klytemnestra and Elektra , mother and daughter, perpetrator and victim, face one another in an attempt to come to terms with their violent past. A chorus of Xhosa tribeswoman bring grace and humanity to the drama through the ancient art of split-tone signing, adding a haunting intensity to this evocative production. Intimate and epic, with unforgettable performances.
