There aren't too many artists in soul music still working today who had a release in 1969. Lee Fields, however, is one such artist - or maybe he is better labelled a phenomenon. With a career spanning over forty years, Field has amassed a prolific catalogie of albums and has perfomed with such legends as Kool and the Gang, Sammy Gordon and the Hip-Huggers and O.V. Wright. His music ranges from Jame Brown-style funks to lo-fi blues to contemporary Southern soul to collaborations with French house DJ/producer Martin Solveig. Lee Fields has done it all.
