I Lost my Heart to a Galway Girl

Galway girl Nora Barnacle became the major influence on James Joyce's work and life and her first meeting with Joyce in June 16th 1904 is forever commemorated in Bloomsday. Nora is most famously immoratalised in James Joyce's The Dead in the person of Gretta Conroy. Perfomer Fergus Cronin, historian Catriona Crowe and special guests will illuminate Nora's remarkable life and her place in Joyce's work with readings from The Dead and other works.
