Art Is Trash

Francisco de Pájaro is a contemporary street and urban artist from Barcelona. de Pájaro rejoices in the here–today–gone– tomorrow nature of his work, turning bin bags, boxes, broken furniture and rubbish into human figures, monsters and animals.

de Pájaro’s spontaneous sculptures have popped up all over the globe, from London to New York and Barcelona to Berlin. Sometimes rude and licentious, sometimes political or funny, de Pájaro’s work always challenges, as he critiques society’s mass consumption, making art out of items we throw onto the streets.

Francisco de Pájaro’s sculptures and installations can be found at various locations throughout Galway City, and will be left up every day until 4pm. Check online and social media for updates and locations.
