Colm Tóibín

Colm Tóibín was born in Enniscorthy in 1955. He is the author of six novels including The Blackwater Lightship and The Master, both of which were shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and Brooklyn which was awarded the Cost Prize. The Master was awarded the Dublin International IMPAC Literary Awarded in 2006. He has also written two books of short stories, Mothers & Sons and, most recently, The Empty family.
