Ben Anderson

Ben Anderson is reporter fo the BBC and Discovery Channel. His TV programmes include Frontline Football - four films that followed national football teams beset by turmoil during the qualifying rounds of the World Cup; Holidays in the Danger Zone - The Violent Coast on West Africa's notoriously dangerous coast and Correspondent - Terror in South East ASia, which profiled Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's time in Manial with Ramsi Yousef, prior to the September 11 attacks.

He is perhaps best known for Holidays in the Axis if Evil, the hit BBC show. Recent work includes Taking on the Taliban, a harrowing film on Helmand, Afghanistan's most violent province. His diary form Helmand was published by the London Review of Books. For Galway Arts Festival Ben will discuss his work interspersed with video footage from his films.
