and Matt Worley

Saving Grace, the newest project from Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant, will perform in the intimate surrounds of St. Nicholas’ Church as part of this year’s Festival.

The co-operative includes Suzi Dian - vocals, Oli Jefferson - percussion, Tony Kelsey – mandolin, baritone and acoustic guitars, Robert Plant – vocals and Matt Worley – banjo, acoustic and baritone guitars, and cuatro. With a sound that's been described as bluesy and folk-inspired, Saving Grace packs a punch ranging ‘from a whisper to a scream’.

Best known as the lead singer and lyricist of one of the most enduring bands in rock history, Robert Plant is regarded as one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Saving Grace performed publicly for the first time earlier this year and since then, the band has performed for small audiences at theatres and festivals around the UK.

In keeping with Saving Grace’s commitment to small, intimate performances, their GIAF19 concert will be an unforgettable chance to see Plant’s acoustic band in Galway’s historic St Nicholas’ Church.

Special guests The 4 of Us will provide support. The rock band from County Down are best known for chart-topping albums in the late 1980s and early 1990s with songs like ‘Mary’ and ‘She Hits Me’.
