Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) is a major cultural organisation which presents one of Europe’s leading international arts festivals for two weeks every July in Galway.

In addition, it develops, produces and tours new work across various artforms and presents a discussion platform First Thought.

The organisation has played a very significant role in placing Galway firmly on the map as both a key cultural centre for the arts and a cultural tourism destination on the Wild Atlantic Way.

In 2027 it will celebrate its 50th birthday - half a century of Galway being a gateway for culture, performance and new ideas. From the west of Ireland - to the world.
