Audiences React to Driftwood at GIAF 17

The circus comes to town for GIAF 17. Galway International Arts Festival is proud to present Driftwood, to which the audience reaction can be summed up in six words: I can’t believe they did that!

Casus Circus, one of Australia’s most exciting contemporary circus companies, returns to Galway following the runaway success of their hit show Knee Deep at GIAF 2013. Their thrilling new show Driftwood was a big hit of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year, earning glowing reviews and standing ovations. The Scotsman describes Driftwood as “breathtakingly beautiful” while The Stage gushes it is “dazzling” and “incredibly impressive.”

Using traditional and contemporary circus techniques, Driftwood is a spectacular display of choreography, acrobatics, trapeze and aerial stunts. Marvel at the breathtaking skill, strength and bravery of these phenomenal performers who test the limits of the human body. These family-friendly Festival favourites take this art form to a whole new level.
