There’s still time to volunteer at GIAF18!

19 June 2018

When the Heineken Big Top rises from the ground and the streets start buzzing with excitement, Galway International Arts Festival is poised to begin. That means it’s time for our incredible team of volunteers to join us. With visitors flooding to Galway from around the world, GIAF volunteers are an essential part of Festival operations.

VOLUNTEERS

GIAF volunteers get to experience the full range of the Festival by creating a volunteer schedule that suits their interests and availability. Shifts are available in theatre, visual arts, street spectacle, First Thought Talks and at the iconic Heineken Big Top. There are also exciting opportunities to be a Festival Ambassador, helping our thousands of visitors have a great Festival experience. Email volunteers@giaf.ie for more information!

VISUAL ARTS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Our new initiative, the Visual Arts Internship Programme (VAIP), offers invigilating experience and specialised training for those seeking an intensive art experience in GIAF's main Festival Gallery. Special physical and digital certificates are provided upon completion. This is a fabulous opportunity to be introduced to or to dive further into a career in the visual arts.

Applications due 29 June, limited spots available. Email volunteers@giaf.ie to apply.
