Sean Lynch continues to investigate and shine a spotlight on a wide range of forgotten historical subjetcs. Through research, photographs and installations he discloses and builds upon fragile stories and objects, magnifying traces of their often-idiosyncratic existence.
Marking a moment in the artists's ongoing investigations into, and recovery of overlooked cultural artefacts, the exhibition will present a new project: to find the Island of Hy Brazil. Lying off the west coast of Ireland, it was last seen by author TJ Westropp in 1872. Other presentations will feature folklorist Eddie Lenihan and the scultpures of Joseph Beuys.
