Gavin James and Craig Gallagher

‘Bitter Pill', 'Nervous', 'Say Hello’ and ‘Book of Love’ singer songwriter Gavin James promises a spine-tingling performance at the Absolut Big Top at Galway International Arts Festival this July.

James has amassed an army of fans in Ireland and around the world with his ‘once in a generation’ voice and emotionally charged live performances. His first release, the EP Say Hello, was a huge internet hit in 2012, and the title track won the Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year. His debut studio album Bitter Pill which also included hit songs The Book of Love and For You received rave reviews with The Irish Times describing the album as being ‘rammed to the rafters with hooks and melody lines’, while Hot Press announced the arrival of a ‘major new voice’.

As a songwriter and live performer of real depth and quality whose rise has been nothing short of meteoric, Gavin James is bound for global stardom.

Dubliner Craig Gallagher started his career singing in the pubs of Temple Bar alongside his childhood friend Gavin James. He recently released a four–track EP Home that went to No. 1 on iTunes in Ireland and he has reached over one million streams on Spotify.

It’s the young Irishman’s flair for songwriting, paired with his unparalleled vocal ability, that has marked Gavin James out as a star on the continual rise. Hunger
