Hofesh Shechter wowed Galway Festival audiences in 2010 with the spellbinding Political Mother and his return to Galway with an amazing company of new young dancers is long overdue.
deGeneration is an evening of three works introducing the outstanding youngest dancers of the Hofesh Shechter Company who take on Shechter's world and perform it with the ferocious physicality and intimate sensitivity for which his company is renowned.
Known as Shechter Junior, these extraordinarily talented dancers tackle two creations from Shechter's canon, Cult (2004) and Fragments (2003), the works that introduce his cinematic, smoky brand of dance to the world with a bang.
Completing the evening is Disappearing Act (2015), reworked especially for and inspired by the new dancers of the company.
