Galway International Arts Festival & Róisín Dubh present

2FM Live with Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra

With special guest Elaine Mai

2FM Live with Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra became the fastest selling music gig in Galway International Arts Festival’s 40-year history in 2017, with their Festival Big Top gig selling out in under an hour.

The unlikely collaborators went on to provide a sensational End of Festival party, tearing the roof off the Festival Big Top, with their Dance Anthems set performed live by Jenny and RTÉ’s incredible 48-piece Concert Orchestra.

Their return to Galway International Arts Festival 2018 will come as welcome news to the legion of fans who danced that memorable night away to club classic hits such as Silence, Adagio for Strings, Everybody’s Free, Insomnia and Missing.

With the amazing Gemma Sugrue back on vocals and Concert Orchestra conductor Gavin Murphy once again at the helm, Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh are thrilled to have this concert close out the biggest Festival Big Top line-up to date.

Supporting 2FM Live with Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra on the night will be Irish artist Elaine Mai.

Since starting out as a solo performer in 2011, Mai has been crafting a reputation for atmospheric and melodic electronic music. She follows up the release of Enniscrone, the first track taken from her upcoming EP with the title track The Colour of the Night. A deeply personal track for Elaine, the song builds and builds until Elaine’s voice enters, offering salvation and respite from the introspective sound of what had proceeded.

Since the release of her last EP in 2014, Elaine has been expanding upon her previous critically acclaimed live performances, experimenting with her live show as well as her approach to song-writing and production. Another single, and the release of her highly anticipated EP, will follow after this release.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
