Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh are delighted to announce that two new acts have been added to the 2019 Heineken Big Top bill: All Tvvins, who will perform as special guests of Two Door Cinema Club and Paddy Hanna, who will provide support for Burt Bacharach.
All Tvvins' performance will be the celebrated Irish pop band’s Galway International Arts Festival debut. The Dublin-based duo released their debut album IIVV in 2016, when it went straight to number 2 on the charts and earned a Choice Music Prize nomination for Irish Album of the Year. As momentum builds for the April release of their sophomore album, Just to Exist, they have recently released new singles and announced a European tour. Don’t miss your chance to see them in Galway.
This will be the first Heineken Big Top performance for Hanna, who took to the Róisín Dubh stage with singer Sinéad White during GIAF 2018. Other recent festival appearances include Primavera and Electric Picnic, and an unexpected tour with soul legend Billy Ocean.
Hanna’s 2018 album Frankly, I Mutate was hailed by critics as ‘essential,’ ‘superb,’ and ‘as brilliantly distinctive as they come.’ This year will see Hanna continue to tour, and begin work on a third album, due for release in 2020. His opening performance ahead of the legendary Mr Bacharach is not to be missed. Please note that the 22 July Heineken Big Top concert will be fully seated, though seats will be first come, first served.
