Gypsy music and the Roma tradition meet through the frenetic band of musicians that is Taraf de Haidouks, a vibrant Romanian band of twelve instrumentalists and singers aged twenty to eighty.

Taraf de Haidouks perform a richness of the Romanian folk tradition, from haunting ballads to the dizzying heights of fiddle dances in captivating frenzied performances filling the biggest concert halls in the world, from New York to London and Sydndey to Tokyo.

Johnny Depp has been one of the Taraf's most devoted fans ever since the band played the part of his Gypsey family in Sally Potter's feature film The Man Who Cried. Winners of the 2002 BBC Radio 3 World music Award, Taraf de Haidouks' Irish debut is simply not to be missed.
