See What Audiences are Saying About GIAF 17’s Cover My Tracks

29 July 2017

GIAF 2017 audiences love Charlie Fink and Rona Morrison in Cover My Tracks, straight from The Old Vic in London.

Galway International Arts Festival 2017 brings the music and theatre show Cover My Tracks, a hit at The Old Vic in London, to audiences at Galway’s An Taibhdhearc theatre.

Cover My Tracks stars former Noah and the Whale frontman Charlie Fink, who exclusively presents songs from his upcoming solo album (his first since departing Noah and the Whale) on stage, weaving them with a story about an idealistic young songwriter who sets out to write a 21st century pop masterpiece and then vanishes without a trace. Might his personal songbook be the key for his musical partner Sarah (played by Rona Morrison) to unlocking the mystery?

Directed by Max Webster, Cover My Tracks is presented at An Taibhdhearc, the National Irish Language Theatre, which first opened in 1928. Another GIAF presentation, Dún na mBan Trí Thine (The Fairy Fort is on Fire), ran at An Taibhdhearc from 13-22 July and garnered rave reviews.

The Evening Standard calls Cover My Tracks “a delight” while The Stage notes its “captivating simplicity”.
