‘A delight’, says the Evening Standard; ‘Captivating simplicity’, says The Stage.

The Old Vic Theatre, London and Fane Productions co-production Cover My Tracks, starring former Noah and the Whale frontman Charlie Fink, is captivating audiences and critics alike at the Old Vic Theatre in London ahead of its run at the Galway International Arts Festival this July.

The show tells the story of an idealistic young songwriter, who sets out to write a 21st century pop masterpiece and then vanishes without a trace.

Giving it four stars, Fiona Mountford in the Evening Standard called the show ‘a delight’ and a ‘compelling blend of song and speech’, which was a ‘beguiling hybrid that is part gig, part theatre performance’.

Also giving the show four stars, The Stage’s Fergus Morgan called the show a ‘captivating, contemplative new two-handed gig-theatre piece about love, loss and living on the edge.’

“Staged with captivating simplicity, David Greig and Noah and the Whale frontman Charlie Fink's new musical two-hander Cover My Tracks is a blissful hour-and-a-little-bit of contemplative, gently poetic storytelling and wistful, folksy guitar music,” he said.

WhatsOnStage, meanwhile, called Cover My Tracks 'an ambitious genre-bending work'; The Upcoming said ‘Charlie Fink's music is sublime', with British Theatre Guide calling it 'a lovely production'.

Cover My Tracks comes to An Taibhdhearc from 25-30 July 2017 as part of Galway International Arts Festival. Tickets, priced €20-€25, are on sale now.
